100 liter, 200 lt, 300 litre, 400 liters, 500 litres & 600 lt oak wine barrels, 100lt, 200lt, 300lt, 400lt, 500lt & 600lt wooden barreloak wine barrels cooperage from East European White Oak 'Quercus Petreae' or 'Quercus Gorun' whose staves have been air dried for 24 - 36 months with 6-8 galvanised, well finished metal hoops and toasted to Light, Medium or Heavy levels for up to 45 minute oak chip fire. Professionaly cooperaged in Europe for wineries and the smaller 100lt, 200lt can be ideal for home wine making.
This particular East Europe Oak imparts nearly identical flavour as the French Oak but at less cost. 'Quercus Petreae' or 'Quercus Gorun' oak improves the red wine's structure and typically adds some spice and occassionally sweet vanillin taste. With regards to white wines, a nutty, buttery flavour is added. Typically, 50% of the tannins are extracted during the first year and 25% in the following 3 or 4 year. All tannins will be exhausted within four or five years.
